The journey begins in Dehradun, embarking on a 210km drive through the picturesque Yamuna and Tons valley to reach the base camp in Sankri. The route offers stunning views of the Yamuna bridge and dense pine forests, passing through enchanting places like Mussoorie, Nainbag, Damta, Newman, Mori, Purola, and Netwar.
Sankri, nestled in the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary of Uttarkashi district, is a charming village with a mini market and renowned wooden huts serving delicious food. Surrounded by apple orchards and lush greenery, the base camp provides a pollution-free environment and spectacular vistas of snow-covered mountains.
Upon arriving in Sankri, witness a breathtaking sunset behind the mountain ranges, offering a panoramic view of all four peaks in the Swargarohini range. The small village of Sankri, with around 250 houses, features a few dhabas and shops. As the evening sun sets behind the greater Himalayas, the peaks of Swargarohini glow in the sunlight.

After breakfast, embark on a journey from Sankri to Dharkoat village, passing through dense forests, picturesque water streams, and the culturally rich Dhatmeer village. Marvel at the sprawling wild orchids and keep an eye out for wildlife encounters, such as leopards, barking deer, and boars. En route, pass through the charming village of Taluka, known for its traditional houses and dhabas offering simple and delectable food. Upon reaching Dharkoat, take a brief rest before commencing a 4km trek to Seema.
The trek offers a thrilling adventure, featuring rocky surfaces, traditional wooden bridges, and green trails alongside the Supin river. Encounter snow patches in areas untouched by sunlight for an extended period. Seema, although not a village but a shelter point for tourists, is the destination of the trek.
Experience the diversity of mountain wildlife and bird species during the trek, with various water streams providing fresh drinking water. As evening approaches, reach Seema via Gangar village and camp on a small green field, offering breathtaking views of nature.

The Seema to Boslo hike is a 10 km trek that takes about 6-7 hours to complete. The trail passes through Osla village, which has a hanging bridge called the Seema Bridge, used to cross the Supin River. The village is surrounded by scenic views, including the snow-covered mountains, Amaranth trees, and the Mt. Bandarpoonch and Swargarohini mountain ranges. The village has a rich mythology associated with it, including the belief that it was home to a clan loyal to Duryodhan and a 2000-year-old Someshwar Temple. The hike up the hill from Osla to Kalkatidhar provides stunning views of the Dhauladhar Range, Bugyal Devsu, and Mt. Black Peak. Kalkatidhar is a beautiful meadow with views of the Ruinsara Range and Kedarkantha Summit.

Trek Duration: 5-6 Hrs
Altitude: 12,000 ft (Har Ki Dun), 13,025 ft (Maninda Lake)
This morning, your journey begins earlier than usual, as today marks the longest day of the trek. After a hearty breakfast, the trail unfolds before you, promising even more breathtaking views than the ones you've already experienced. Prepare yourself for a remarkable day as you traverse the glacier basin adorned with mountain meadows, moraines, and the majestic presence of large pine trees.
Embarking on the trail, you'll initially ascend towards the convergence of the Supin River and the River from the Ruinsara Valley, treating you to panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The path ahead varies between moderate and steep inclines, guiding you towards the Har Ki Dun valley. As you ascend, witness the beauty of icy snow patches and snow-covered waterfalls, which transform into a pristine winter wonderland when covered in thick snow.
The Har Ki Dun Valley is a mesmerizing destination that encapsulates an array of natural wonders. From the towering peaks of Swargarohini, Hata Peak, and Black Peak to the enchanting mix of meadows and coniferous forests, frozen streams, and glacier moraines, the valley is a visual feast. The trail gradually ascends, culminating in a 45-degree elevation, which, despite its appearance, is not as steep, but can become more challenging in the presence of snow. The final leg of the hike winds through an eddy and dense forests, leading to the summit of Har Ki Dun, offering awe-inspiring views of Swargarohini I peak, Hata Peak, and Black Peak.
Marinda Tal, also known as Morinda Tal, awaits at an elevation of 3,970 meters within the Har Ki Dun valley, showcasing its stunning beauty against the backdrop of Hata and Swargarohini mountains. After exploring the valley and creating lasting memories, the return journey brings you to the final campsite at Kalkattiyadhar.

Time: 6-7 hrs
The valley is such an incredible place that it becomes very difficult for the trekkers to come back from this valley. Right after having breakfast, you will start trekking back to Seema early in the morning.
Night stay will be scheduled in the camp at Seema and all trekkers will be served with dinner in the camp itself only. Make sure to witness the sunset of mountains because this is something you cannot miss.
Trek Distance: 4 km (Seema to Dharkot Village)
Drive: 16 km (Dharkot to Sankri)
Get ready to trek for the last time from Seema to Dharkoat via dense forests. By afternoon, you will be reaching Taluka and then drive back to Sankri base camp. The 4km trek from Seema to Dharkoat is going to give you an amazing experience with lots of memories so make sure to capture every moment.
Therefore, day 6 is going to be the last day of your camping and the stay will be scheduled at Sankri base camp.
Drive: 210 km.
Depart at 7 A.M after having tea,coffee and biscuit, It is going to be a log drive of almost 8-9 hours, be prepared.
You will be reaching Dehradun by 5 P.M.

What is not included in this tour?
Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport is well-connected to many cities of India. From there, you can hire a taxi or take a shared cab to reach Sankri, the starting point of the trek.
Sankri is well-connected by road. State transport buses and private taxis operate from Dehradun to Sankri. The road journey offers stunning views of the mountains and valleys.
The closest railway station to Sankri is Dehradun Railway Station. Dehradun is accessible by frequent trains from large cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. You can hire a taxi or take a bus from the railway station to Sankri.

Being the remotest place to visit, Har ki Doon valley is best during the summer months April-June and spring months late September and November. During monsoon months, July-August-September, the long trekking route may create problems though many trekkers love to challenge themselves during monsoon as the route is not difficult.
Har Ki Dun trek distance is almost 47 KM long and requires one whole week to complete. Keeping aside the long-distance, this trek takes you to the bounties of nature where you can soothe your body and witness the paradisiacal displays. On the route, you can stroll along with the meadows or can walk lazily along with the orchid trails. Har Ki Dun trek is one of the best trekking expeditions that one must witness on a vacation.
The average temperature in Har ki Doon region ranges from 10 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius during the day time. The temperature can also drop down to as low as 2 degree Celsius to 5 degrees Celsius at night. Keep in mind both the temperature and wind flow while packing your woolens.
